Got to be the first to drive the new EX90 in my area this weekend and put it through its paces with the whole family and a good long run. Quiet like way quieter than my XC90 or even my X5 in electric mode which was a huge relief. Felt right at home inside familiar XC90 vibes but way more modern. The air suspension handled bumps great and the electric third row is a nice touch. I was a bit worried about the smaller instrument cluster but it worked fine especially with the blind spot warnings. Just watch out for the door handles they pinch fingers and you lose that little storage spot near the knee. One pedal driving is adjustable which is good because I'm not a fan. Also don't try to adjust anything while driving the touchscreen controls are too fiddly.
Here's my breakdown:
It's a quiet Ride, significantly quieter than XC90 and comparable to X5 EV mode. Interior and dimensions are very similar to the XC90. Air suspension handled rough roads well. Third row is convenient and practical. Instrument cluster is super functional but smaller than expected. There is blind spot warning is effective on both the screen and mirrors. Door handles are potential pinch point issue. Lost a small storage spot. One pedal driving gives adjustable modes for personal preference and the touchscreen controls is best adjusted while stationary.
