The Volvo EX90 will feature Google’s new HD map, designed to improve the car's assisted driving capabilities. By combining lidar, cameras, and radars, the system will offer detailed, real-time road information to help the car better understand its surroundings. This advancement moves Volvo closer to its goal of autonomous driving in the future. For more details, check out the press release here.

Volvo and Polestar are partnering with Google to add highly detailed maps to their EV, like the EX90 and Polestar 3. They're combining this with their car's sensors to enhance self-driving functions. I'm wondering how this collaboration will affect the performance of features like Pilot Assist and if it will give them a competitive advantage. I'm also concerned about data privacy and I'd like to know if anyone has used these types of maps before. Are we seeing significant steps towards fully autonomous vehicles?

Volvo's teaming up with Google to give their cars like the EX9. what do you think about that? Are you excited about the idea of your car having Google's detailed maps to enhance its self-driving features? Do you think this partnership between Volvo and Google will make self-driving safer and more reliable? And with Volvo combining its own sensors with Google's maps, do you think this gives them a leg up in the race to develop fully autonomous vehicles? And finally, do you think this kind of tech is the future of driving or do you prefer a more traditional driving experience?

This is fascinating! The partnership could really enhance Pilot Assist but I understand the privacy issues. I'm also wondering if this will bring us any closer to fully autonomous vehicles
