Just saw the EX90 is launching in the UK missing Apple CarPlay, smart charging, and safety features! An expensive car rolling out incomplete? They're saying ‘’updates later,’’ but this feels like a beta test. Remember the EX30 issues? Volvo's blaming "software challenges," but this is ridiculous. Even the CEO's spinning it as a plus. What do you think? Acceptable for a premium car, or should we expect more?

Given the high price of the automobile, these delays are concerning. It will be interesting to see how things unfold when the car finally arrives and discussions about the final pricing begin.

Volvo’s EX90 flagship delivered to customers without key features is indeed worrisome. Even if those missing features will be added later via an update. Ultimately it’s up to the prospective buyers to decide.

If you really want the EX90, I'd say just lease it for two years. I wouldn't buy it or lease it for longer. I'm kinda skeptical about Volvo being able to get all the features working without needing new hardware, and you don't want to be stuck with it if they can't pull it off.

Yeah, leasing sounds like the safest bet if someone really wants one. But honestly, at this price point, why should buyers have to gamble on whether Volvo can figure out their own tech? It’s not like this is some budget EV where you expect trade-offs. They’re positioning this as a premium, high-tech SUV, and yet… no CarPlay, no full safety suite, and smart charging is MIA?

I get that software-defined cars are the future, but this feels like they rushed the launch just to say they did. Like, how many OTA updates will it take before this thing actually delivers the features they promised?
