Volvo is now offering a VIP Wear Maintenance Plan for BEV models, including the EX90, which covers brake pads, rotors, wipers, and a 12V battery replacement over a 3-7 year period.

Scheduled maintenance continues past 40K miles, covering 60K, 80K, and 100K services.
Comes with two $500 tire vouchers for normal wear.
Available nationwide (except California, which gets it in 2025).

Would you sign up for this, or do you think EVs don’t need as much wear coverage as gas-powered cars? For those who have bought it, is it worth the cost?

Hmm, I don't like that the mileage limits don't match with the service intervals.
As for Volvo BEVs, I would be surprised if they really burn through brakes that fast. My EVs have barely needed brake work, just the usual cabin filter and brake fluid changes.
Thought, the 12V battery replacement was nice to have, but wipers and brakes don’t seem like huge expenses.
Unless the pricing is super competitive, I am not sure this plan would be worth it.
Curious to hear if anyone’s actually used it!

Depends on pricing, but brake wear is minimal on EVs. The tire vouchers are nice, though. Anyone know the cost breakdown to see if it’s worth it?
